Smiley Lubis is an English-speaking professional guide based in Berastagi, a town near Medan in Sumatra, Indonesia.

Over his 20 years of guiding experience, he has brought tourists for trekking and sightseeing to many parts of Indonesia as far as Mount Bromo in Java.

As the principal guide for a big international travel company for regular trips to Gunung Leuser National Park in Aceh and other parts of Sumatra, he is well atuned to the needs and sensitive to the culture of foreign tourists.
